About the Town
Cedarhurst is located on the South Shore of Long Island, about 15 minutes from JFK Airport. It is easily accessible by car, bus and train with the Long Island Railroad (LIRR), stopping right in the heart of town. Incorporated in 1910, the village of Cedarhurst today presents a unique and charming combination of mom & pop stores, specialty boutiques, and national and regional chain stores. A variety of restaurants and cafes — all within walking distance of each other–complement this quaint town. Many stores are open late Wednesday and Thursday evenings. On Saturdays and Sundays, free metered parking in convenient municipal lots is offered year-round.
We will be happy to assist you in locating a store, a product or, when possible, a specific brand name. We cannot assist you in locating local residents or non-commercial events that may be taking place in Cedarhurst.

The Cedarhurst Business Improvement District
Our organization was formed to help Cedarhurst merchants, to beautify our shopping areas, and to organize special events. Our merchants are independently owned and operated. The Cedarhurst BID does not have any legal involvement with any merchant, other than acting as an advisor or facilitator.
