Covid-19 Small Business Recovery Grant
The New York State COVID-19 Pandemic Small Business Recovery Grant Program was created to provide flexible grant assistance to currently viable small businesses, micro-businesses and for-profit independent arts and cultural organizations in the State of New York who have experienced economic hardship due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Nassau County Senior Discounts Program
Nassau County Comptroller Elaine Phillips is pleased to provide this list of businesses that offer discounts to senior citizens, prepared in collaboration with the Nassau Council of Chambers of Commerce. This list can be sorted by town or business category and filtered by keywords to help consumers find what they are looking for. The list is continually growing and will be updated periodically. If you know of a business that offers senior discounts and is not listed here, please encourage them to contact the Comptroller’s Office to be included!
Enhance Your Downtown
The Community Thrive program provides funding to eligible 501(c)(3) or 501(c)(6) organizations – Chambers of Commerce, Business Improvement Districts, and Civic Associations – to support proposed business community projects.

Reimbursements Available
Maximum award cap in any program year will be up to $10,000 for any Chamber, BID or Civic Association.
Awards in a community identified as a Disadvantaged Community (DAC) as per NYSERDA may receive an extra 25% bonus for a total of $12,500.

Program Deadlines
Accepting applications until September 30, 2026, or until funds are exhausted.
All work to be completed, and paperwork for payment to be submitted by December 1, 2026.
Application Requirements

Application must be associated with a specific, well-defined project and include itemized material costs and written estimates from contractors for all associated items in the project.

Submittals are subject to PSEG Long Island review based on community impact.

Applications must be submitted for pre-approval prior to purchasing materials or starting a project.

Disadvantaged Community Location confirmation can be verified at nyserda.ny.gov/ny/disadvantaged-communities.

Proper proof of spending including receipts and/or paid invoices must be provided as well as proof of payment by Applicant.

Purchases must be made by the Applicant (Chamber/BID/Civic).

If pre-funding is necessary, applicants may be able to secure funds upfront from their associated Chamber Council. See application for approved Supplemental Funding Organizations.

Program application approval is not guaranteed. PSEG Long Island retains the sole right to select awardees and determine award amounts.
